"Ebony" or Paint it Black as she is known on the Illinois Short Circuit is a fabulous second horse for any
child. She is a nice step up from a first pony. There is no spook or quirks to this one, all business.
Ebony lived her life as a dressage horse before arriving at Deerwood in the winter of 2010. She
started her jumping career at that time and has taken to it wonderfully. She is brave and honest. She
tends to slightly over jump still but it is so smooth that it is a non issue. Her other gaits are very smooth
as well. She has automatic flying lead changes. She is a very easy keeper and currently lives outside
in a group of mares. She is not herd bound at all. Currently she is in winning contention in short stirrup
hunter, beginner hunter and limit hunter on the Illinois short circuit. At her first show, she was champion
beginner hunter out of 20 horses. She also recently won her flat classes with a different rider in a group
of 15 horses. Great mare with great disposition. Offered at $5500. Also, available for in barn lease or
